Who would pick DE over just eldar

I mean come on dark eldar are just... I don't know... I mean normal eldar are cool cause of their struggle against Slaanesh, but DE are just slavers. I never even really felt compelled to look at their back story... give me a min...O ok. They do what they want cause a pirate is free? And drink ppls souls so that they can live forever...

Yes but so will normal eldar is they dont have a soulstone to catch their soul and bring it back to a craftworld

I agree, they are a little weak on the lore side, and their creation seems to be just a counter balance for eldar....

I was reading up on the lexicanum.. apparently they only happened cause enough players painted their Eldar in dark colors and called them dark...It is just nothing like the dark elf lore from warhammer fantasy..

In the first incarnation of Eldar lore it specifically said they COULD NOT worship Chaos any longer or they would immediately forfeit their souls, dieing immediately. I will try and find the reference, but I think the book/white dwarf is in my storage unit.

Yeah, but they change the lore to hit the players needs. personally I am ok with there being dark eldar. I just wish they had some BA lore to back them up.
