Anyway, it's 9 am here and I've been up all night. And had too much coffee. That can be seen from my previous post. I feel like a hamster that had too much coffee, to be honest.

In other news, I finished the Single Player. My thoughts?

Omg, rage.

Naw, just kidding. I'm not even disappointed. Didn't really expect anything better... rather, I expected much worse. Actually, I guessed the Inquisition thing.

But come on... what was that all about? Who came up with that story?

SPOILERS:
But fuck, it would have actually been an awesome ending if he had died. But nooooooooo... they pick him up, apparently gravity isn't that much of a bitch in the grim darkness of the future. And did they really have to do that ending scene with Titus and Mira kinda acting like they're sorta together... Jeez, I'm such a whiner.

The game is so full of ridiculous plot armor I would have been very surprised if Titus died from a fall from anywhere. After the scene in the lab with the Warboss "I ain't so easy to kill" all the falling scenes seemed more as intentional puns than bad writing.

And for character development: Titus is over 200 Years into service, did you really think he would discover the magical powers of friendship during a standard campaign?

While I agree that the the story was rather weak, most story devices which work in the novels don't work in games or movies. And again, a TPS isn't the right place to look for a deep, immersive story especially in these times, where you can be amazed if a game has more 4 hours of gameplay and the normal story is "You are a Soldier, do soldier stuff"

I really hope you're not referencing my post with this post. :|

The way Titus interacted with the "left tenant" hinted at the blossoming of a magical friendship, and the story was worse for it. I went in fully expecting Space Marines to be callous with the rare "you did good, kid" thrown in to bring the sunshine into a lowly guard's eyes. I didn't at all expect any hints at anything else, but there it was, taunting me.

I like the game. Is so much fun. The final boss isnt very challenger, but is still very cool. The MP is awesome. Tactical Marine + Twin Bolter + Melta Gun = Epic Win.

Anyway, someone is playing the Exterminatus ? We can play together.. Steam maybe?

To be fair I did the whole campaign using Chainsword/Bolter and then switching to Thunderhammer/Bolter!

Thats how real Space Marines roll!!

I just loved the sheer carnage of the game though. You really feel as powerful as the Space Marines from the novels. One can wish DMO40k will be like that...but somehow I don't see horde NPC AI happening too much..

Fingers crossed the melee system is as good as they claim it is!!

Extermy was a good idea. Gives more ork killing in the game than just campaign :).

(also they will add DLC for capture the flag and chaos extermy against IG)
