So tyranids... right. How would they make them into a playable race? I mean its possible but just thinking of the story line is a bit disgusting, i mean changing equipments = mutation right? also I the only thing they do on planets is turn them into bio...to feed the hive fleet. So what i pose is: 1) what are the tyranids classes (5 seems to be the number) and 2) How will they (the devs) manage to get them to be team players in this conflict...(storyline)

The ONLY way they could be included would be in the form of a Genestealer cult and even thats sketchy. Actual Tyranids would never work as playable unless they were done like Monsterplay from LOTRO. Even then, they would end up being a neutral faction, as they would never be fighting alongside anyone.

My point exactly... But ill laugh when they do present some way to actually play them. I would most defiantly play a "lil-geno"

Yeah my guess, more than likely they'll be used as NPC enemies for both sides, dungeons etc.

It's difficult to make nids into a playble faction. I can see them being a hostile-to-all pve faction. Maybe even have dungeons where you have to plow through waves of tyranids with your group buddies and guns blazing.
ps. actually someone had a similar idea above.

Exactly. The only 'nids with conventional communicative abilities are the genestealer cultists and hybrids. You could argue that 'nid to 'nid communication is via the overmind, but that still doesnt fit them into a faction of diverse races.

yup.. they'd never side with anyone. just zerg whatever other living (or dead) creature is currently on the same planet.

Well you could just have quests just assigned to you...I think that would be cool. As for player to player conversation...I assumed it would be in hisses and croaks.

"psst...psst...psst..." "O God I think their talking to each other!" "No you fool were trying to warn you about the bullet proof bears."
- moral of this story is that foreshadowing and a bit imagination is all it takes..

Well... I am hoping that each race is going to have a completely unique levelling system, economy... blah blah.

I had the idea that you could start your tutorial game as a ripper... to get basic movement functions and attacks down. Then you genetic material can be re-assimilated back into the fleet and you can choose either a termagaunt or hormagaunt to be reborn as. And so on and so on until you end up with a high-ish level creature... I obviously don't expect it to go as far as Carnafixs or Hive Tryants... jesus, that'd be ridiculously over powered...

... still don't think it'd work though. PvE enemies only I reckon.
