so does anyone else here play rogue trader and dark heresy?

I did, but the guys I played with broke up for Uni and we grouped up in a while. We played DH, but 75% of the time they used "Ethereal Dawn" fan homebrew rules.

I try to relive the old times at /tg/.

I play Dark Heresy with a couple of friends every other week. We're just doing a standard campaign at the moment, pretty much, on our third module. However once we've finished that, as we are now comfortable with how it all works & are happy with the system, we will be deviating from the standard and do a pre/early Heresy Adeptus Astartes campaign when it's all happening in the Imperium. Should be fun and interesting to see whether we become traitors by joining Horus, renegades by staying loyal to the Emperor but seen by the Imperium as traitors, or whether we stay loyal completely.

I've never played, but I'm interesting in trying Rogue Trader, Dark Heresy, or the new Black Crusade RPG.

I'd be willing to do it over an IRC if you guys want to actually form groups here. I think we all need our 40k fix while waiting for this info...

There HAS to be some kind of online tabletop RPG simulator service already in existence. Something better than shitty IRC. Something that simulates dice rolls and maps and other stuff. No way the Internet has existed this long witho

I guess a program like that RPG Tonight deal, and voice chat like TS3, and you'd be good to go. Y'know, I think I'd actually be down for playing some kind of 40k RPG action. I've never played any of these games but I've read some of the books and am awful intrigued. So yeah, I'd probably be down.

I played the original table top Warhammer 40K Rouge Trader, still got all the pages of the hard back to that fell out cause back then GW/Citadel couldnt make hard back books last more than a week.

I know what Dark Heresy is I assume RT is another one of the RPG's but I dont really know anything about them, I used to RP and play Warhammer FRP before it was sold on etc and the current incarnation. I would love to know more about them though from a players perspective without having to go read a Wiki or something. So...gonna tell me a bit about them?

I decided to pick up Black Crusade. It was either Crusade or Rogue Trader. It took me a while to choose between the two, but I went with Chaos. I'm sure down the road I'll pick up Rogue Trader as well.
