Here is an article in which a guy at mmorpg.com asks devs about races, and they only response they get on eldar is "you will not be disappointed"

No where does it say eldar exiles are playable.

Playable Factions

"From a THQ private company conference concerning E3 presentation plan[citation needed]:

Imperium has been confirmed as a playable race (PC Gamer).
Eldar Exiles will be available as a playable race (AG.ru)."
wikipedia takes it from AG.ru, but of course that is in cyrillic. Unless anyone here can read russian, we're still in the dark as to whether its accurate.

I won't believe it until I hear it form Vigil or THQ... however, that doesn't mean we can't speculate and theorycraft about it.

They've mentioned that Eldar will be in the game in various videos. They didn't say they'd be playable, but it's Order vs. Chaos. Who else would be on the Imperial team? I guess tau maybe if this new area of space is somewhere near tau space? No mention of tau, though. If there are Eldar in the game and it's a team game, the very obvious arrangement of teams is Imperium + Eldar vs. Orks + Chaos.

Yes there will eldar but there hasn't been any proof that is "exile" eldar that will be playable.

They Haven't said anything about Eldar being in the game... they've hinted at it but absolutely no one as said "Eldar is in the game as a playable race."
Yeah, yeah.. we all know with 99% certainty Eldar are in.. I mean it'd be a like having WoW without elves NOT having them in.. but for as long as it isn't confirmed by Vigil or THQ.. there's no proof of anything. Might be 5 different craftworlds, might be exiles.. who know..

this whole Exile business is just getting on my nerve in NONE of the official Interviews (that ive seen) I have not heard the word Exile so as far as im concerned it bogus. (now if you have facts please show me)

Any how back on topic heres what id like to see 1 Main Force with some other chapters, craftworlds, wagh, legion, etc as small cameos i dont want them to play to much of a role so the make the main force less important.

It's pretty much a given that Eldar are going to be another playable race, and Exiles is as good a name for them as any that has crept up.

I think that having only the black templars is the best way to go. Besides cameos of other chapters, it really would only make sense for them to have one chapter at the most. The only other time anyone post-heresy would join up together, chapter-wise, would be when they had to take out a HUGE waagh/huge Daemon Prince/tombworld, (Armageddon anyone?)

Anyways, so unless Vigil is going to have a badass nemesis similar to Ghadgskullz and his Waagh!, then I can't think of any reason for them to have more than one chapter. They said they were focusing on your heroic story, so I am assuming that having other chapters would minimize an individuals importance.

But then again, the game is nowhere near out and I could be COMPLETELY wrong! :lol:
