Well out of that list;
Vostroyan: No thanks, don't like 'em at all
Catachan: I really don't like the models but as a lore kind-of-thing they're alright
Steel Legion: Quite a cool bunch but not overly my cup of tea.
Mordian Iron Guard: Badass to a tee. They turn up in paradeground uniforms & kick absolute backside! My third choice.
Valhallan: As cool as they are I don't like their battle tactics of massed artillery followed by dozens of infantry waves.
Tallarn: Very much the underdogs in terms of army choice, and Forgeworld do some lovely models, but I've never been a fan.
Cadians: The generic Imperial Guard Regiment. I love their armour & fatigues (except the helmets), their M36 lasguns, but I don't like Cadia. My personal army uses Cadian models. In fact it is a Cadian regiment. Not a Cadian on strength though. 'tis a long story... They'd be my number 2 choice because of their kit.
And the winner is...
Other (Please Specify): Death Korps of Krieg.
The grimmest & most fatalistic soldiers of the Imperium. Their weapons, equipment, armour, fatigues, heavy weapons, armour, artillery - all look fantastic. They are at home fighting where ever they are dispatched, especially if it is trench/siege warfare. Their tanks & artillery, weapons & equipment evoke a very dark, gritty feel. They look the best, to me, and are the best soldiers in the Imperium.
Check
Forgeworld and tell me you would not want to run around a battlefield looking like these guys.
Chances are it -will- be 'Cadian' equipped troops but what Regiment we don't know. If I were able to decide for them then damn all the standard Regiments, damn all the plastics, damn the pansy Catachans and all the others - Krieg are the best of all.
In my humble opinion of course
