I wonder if there will be a chaos tech marine

Interesting idea, but I see them going more the sorcerer approach.

btw, is there any lore with tech priests going cultist? For one thing they are already a gray area because they worship the omnissiah and then the god emperor. Plus they are generally very strong in their faith or made of so much metal they don't seem to be affected by the ruinous powers (as far as i have seen).

If someone could point out any note worthy facts I would much appreciate it.

Techpriests are human, so they're as vulnerable as anyone to Chaos. The Dark Heresy RPG features several prominent former-techpriest adversaries for Inquisition acolytes to tackle, as well as a lot of forbidden tech-creations of theirs to fill the ranks of a rogue techpriest campaign. There's even one heretical organization listed which includes among its number renegade Mechanicus guys, as this organization's goal is to cast off the yoke of Mars and pursue scientific advancement unburdened by its oppression.

As for whether there might be renegade techpriests for the Chaos side, who's to say, but I'd be a bit surprised. There probably wouldn't be much to distinguish the good techpriests from the bad techpriests. And unless it were featured very prominently in the story somehow, it wouldn't really make much sense, as renegade technpriests aren't common and ones who actually side with Chaos are even rarer.

Obliterators are usually Techmarines, not Tech Priests, infected with the Obliterator Virus.
